At some point someone is going to study and pick away “his” pic and try to debunk it. Who knows if it’s legit or not. Who knows what kind of bullet only gets 3-4 inches of penetration? At 30 yds it is understandable an arrow may not get too far in there. Especially through a bullet hole. But then again I don’t know much about any bow that fits into a soft sided rifle case. Like I said, I’m not on the up and up of the most current weaponry so I’m sure someone will be suspicious of his pic but I say .... keep killing and keep talking. Great stories and congrats........again. If it’s good then congrats and if it’s not then another entertaining entry from an ALdeer legend.

First thing i noticed is what looks like some kind of gunholders in the back of that truck and assuming any deer rifle gets more than 3 or 4 inches of penetration, he implied he was hunting with a bow. You might start there.

It was a little over 30 yards. And a long freaking drag through some thick shut. Shot him a little forward and he ran a little ways. I didn’t get much penetration and found very little blood. Only went in probably 3-4 inches at the most. And it’s the First deer I’ve ever put my dog on... and we found him. Very luck and very happy. Blessed to say the least. But yeahhh... you could say 600 yards. Because that’s damn sure what it felt like between me and my buddy dragging ng it out.

***Edited to try and tell some of the story***

What gun and ammo were you shooting?

Damn that was easy. Ain’t no way the story and pic are true. Just doesn’t ever seem to match up with this guy. Plus, all his other deer pics are selfies...wonder why this one ain’t...

First off I’m not gonna play I To this much but I willl settle a few things.
1. I have no reason to lie and make myself look like an idiot again.
2. It was “ Rifle day” but I hunted with my bow at one of my favorite spots.
3. And just bc there is a rifle case does not mean I hunted with a rifle.

I’m asking one last time... please stop ragging on me. I made a mistake. And I owned up to it. I am more excited about this buck then almost any other. I worked hard for this deer and some of y’all are honestly ruining it for me. Like seriously....
But I do wanna say Thanks to everyone for the positive comments. It means a lot.

If you didn’t hunt with the rifle, why is the case open?

BS, doesn't sound like a bow setup to me, and why wasn't your slingblade looking self in the pic with the deer?

And what kind of “broadhead “ makes an entry wound like a bullet hole?

Man y'all are hard on him I get a few jokes but damn. I don't know JT but he originally posted at 7 in the morning and told us he killed something at 730 that night he could have gun hunted in the morning and bow hunted that afternoon. Also when they went to go track the deer he could have come back to the truck and swapped his bow for his rifle.

I mean for all I know he could have shot this deer on a back road in coosa county 2 weeks ago on a corn pile but man y'all are just taring him up. Just cause he's killed free range high fence deer in the past and lied about means he's still lying

Its a Fine buck JT. congrats

It has nothing to do with being tuff on someone it just seems to be peculiar to BLACK OUT A TAG NUMBER. WHY?

Do you keep your rifle in a soft case year round? I don’t. Mine stays in a hard case. So obviously... it’s open bc it’s empty bc I didn’t need to bring my rifle considering I hunted with my bow. Oh yeah... and sorry for not zipping it shut. Do I get questioned about that? frak. Just stop. Does this make you feel good to bully someone nonstop and ruining my whole experience on here. Ha
