Pile, I just know how to kill big deer and there is a way to go about things if you want to really hunt and just not drive to a stand. I have to agree with Happy. Maybe the guy should have called the lodge and asked some questions and also maybe told them what his expectations was. Maybe do a SWAT analysis before you go somewhere or something to help understand what your getting into. I wonder what the weather was too, temps, thermals, barametric pressure, moon phase, rut stage, ect could have all played a part in the deer movement. Iwould have asked for a set in the woods too. Hopefully he will get on a nice one before the season is over. At lest he got to go hunt, I dont even have a lease/club this year.
