Marshall, Jackson, and etowah

Where at in Marshall County? My in laws live in Albertville and have 80 acres out past the old country club. I have never hunted it due to it being 90% pasture land and the fact that it seemed to touch a nerve when I asked them about it. It was an old cattle farm at one time owned by my wife's grandparents, but now its just grown up.

There may be a few up there, but I hunt towards paint rock.

Any luck guys? I saw 19 deer for the weekend. Unforunately, only the non shooter bucks made it in range. Saw 13 does and not a single one made it close to me. Had a small 6 and 2 spikes come in range. Kinda how my opening days go!

I saw 2 does too far though.

I finally got to go hunting yesterday afternoon and I have to say this weather is awesome! I saw two does feeding on acorns. I felt good to see some deer on my first trip into the woods.

Glad some of you guys are getting shots. Been in the woods 6 days and had only a couple of non- shooter bucks come by the stand. Does just will not come in. Move my stand and then they feed under the tree I moved from. Been like that so far for me.

Was in the stand Tuesday morning when 3 bucks came in on our new club. I shot this one at about 20 yds. He ran about 25 yds and piled up.

Congrats Preacher at this rate you gonna limit out before bow season is even over! I am heading to the stand now. It is very windy but I sure can not kill one laying in the bed.

Well I went and it was like riding a fair ride with the tre swaying so much, but I enjoyed just being in the woods. I only saw one deer (couldn't tell what it was) and a small bear.

Just moved and had our second child. I still don't have internet at home so I came to my dads to post pics. I been hunting everyday this week with no luck. This has been a tough year for me for some reason. I did manage to get us 5 points a few weeks ago.

Well i'm finally hooked back up on the world wide web. I am having a tough bow season but gun season is looking up.

Just checking in to let you guys know that I have not gone awol, I have been out of town a week here and there and when I do go I either see small bucks, does out of range or nothing at all. I did manage to smoke 2 cats sat morning and saw another. Maybe towards the end of the week I can help out.

I went yesterday afternoon and saw two 6pts and two does. It was my besst hunt so far.
