I find it hard to believe there are 1.5 million deer in Alabama. Maybe in 1993, not 2017. I've been on places with over 7000 acres of land that probably hold less than 150 deer. I also find it hard to believe that less than 40,000 deer have been killed since opening day. I don't care what any biologist or deer experts on the internet, or state say, there ARE big pieces of land in Alabama that no longer have a stable deer population. There really are big pieces of land that just don't have enough deer on them to justify a hunting season, I've seen it.

I do think it's great they are trying to get some data to make up for the bed sh---ing the DCNR did with the unlimited doe days and 5.5 month kill all season, but those numbers sure seem off. I don't know that they'll make any changes no matter what data hunter give them, but they are presenting themselves as trying to do something constructive for hunters.
