You know it's messed up because you were there and you've dealt with 17yo kids who've already been to prison for murder a couple times correct. Otherwise you don't know if it was messed up or not
how many of them do you know? silliest thing i've heard all week I don't know anyone involved personally but with over 10 years in the streets of west Birmingham to reflect back on, Im comfortable thinking you're one to run your mouth with little to none on knowledge or experience and yes I used to know of several 17 yo, 16 yo 13yo and even one 10yo that had already been convicted of one or more murder/ att. murder charges and were out. Not enough room and if not tried as an adult, which is way less common than it should be, it would blow your mind how fast they get out when under age. Hope your beat was not Wylam or around that area being west birmingham. West Ensley Wylam and Dolomite for about half of it from the Brickyard at 20th and P to the Fairfield city limits all the way over to Hueytown Wynnonah powderly and West end the other half I was in a gun fight 18min into my first shift and it really got wild after that slow start Worst damn area I have ever been around. Ensley and Wylam was a great place to be up to about the early 80's I think it was. We had a house on Lexington Street back about 10 yrs ago, and couldnt give it away with 7 acres. I would go over to cut grass at 5am to try and avoid the bad stuff there. I was cutting grass with two Berreta's seriously.

I guess I missed the answer. How many 17 year olds did you say you know that are walking the streets after going to prison on multiple murder charge's? He said 3 or 4. Some as young as 10. He worked the Southwest side of bham. I’m surprised his numbers aren’t higher. So to clarify, those 3-4 went to prison and was then let out?

From an earlier post it said running from behind the building was Probable Cause. Don't get Probable Cause and Reasonable Suspicion confused. It makes a big difference in the legal world. You can be arrested based on probable cause, not on reasonable suspicion.
Running from behind a building is Reasonable Suspicion because you still don't have evidence a crime has been committed, but a reasonable person might believe one MAY HAVE BEEN COMMITTED, OR WAS ABOUT TO BE COMMITTED. It would rise to Probable Cause if you saw a broken window in the back of the building, for example.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

To me he implied they went to juvi by saying most of them don't get tried as adults. Prison implies they were tried as adults. That's how I read it anyways.

Not sure how this made 3 pages. Pretty cut and dry except for the libtards. Fail to obey the cops and reach in your waist band? If you live you are an exception.

Tigger where have you been? Don't you remember Obama taught us that drug-related crime is not violent crime? No matter if the dealer had a gun, that meant nothing. He released many from prison on this fallacy he was pushing. You can look at Black society. Twenty years ago they showed signs of problems when they considered homosexuality OK, or normal. Look what that same belief is doing to us 20 years later. It's not the reason for our societies problems, but a sign it has problems. I don't care who you are, if you ever heard the word of God you know same sex should not be allowed to adopt. If homosexuality was normal they'd be able to reproduce, not recruit. Many if not all big cities that accepted Katrina Blacks have stated never again. It's been repeated over and over that if there is a murder today in Houston, Eight of ten suspects are from New Orleans. This is not just a New Orleans problem either. St Louis, Atlanta, B'ham all are consumed by Black crime.

Not a lot of difference between juvi and prison anymore, kids are way more dangerous than adults. In fact if I remember correctly for a few years in the 90's Mt Miegs had a higher mortality rate than any other facility in the state.
But yes some were tried as adults and back out in less than a year for murder If you've ever dealt with the court system much you realize what a joke it is The courts like to roll 8-10 pending cases into 1 for a plea deal and do split sentences with time served or very little extra and it don't take much of a lawyer to make sure hat happen. If it's cases that don't get much media attention they have no potential for a prosecutor/DA to make points for election/reelection or to use as power points for some benefit later so let's just wrap it all up and give 10 split time served cause I'm sure that young man learned his lesson after sitting in jail a month or to on each charge.
What he learned was that the system was broken
Yes, it happens every day. I knew a young man once that got 2 years probation for attempted murder of a police officer the young man had 13 prior felony convictions for drug, weapons and one other attempted murder case. Kid shoulda been doing life as a habitual offender long before he got bold enough to want to kill a cop
Prisons are full stupid stuff happens
The cases that get high profile attention are made examples of for show/ political gain Most of the rest are swept away
Cops in cities like Birmingham and bigger put the same people in jail over and over for the same stuff usually until the get killed on the street, justice is just an idea.
If you don't believe that, I'm sticking with that none to little experience thought.

I know 1 guy who did time in juvi and then served the rest of his sentence in prison. I worked with him about 15 years ago. He said juvi was twice as hard as prison. There was 5 times the fights. Everybody had something to prove. He said prison wasn’t easy but juvi was tougher.
