I never had problems out of the CE, but I really like the Axis, except that they rattle in my quiver (smaller diameter).

i went before bow season last yr to get some beman ics camo hunters and all they had were the small diameter bema team realtree imx and most broadheads won't even screw down all the way on them...i really prefer heavier arrows....i'm just looking for a new brand to try...

I've found the Carbon Express Terminators to be much more durable than Gold Tips. These are the only two brands I have shot recently. The CE's are 10.2g per inch and the GT's 8.something which may have played a role. The gold tip shafts would splinter more easily if they took a glancing blow from another field point (shooting a very tight group into target) or if you had a target pass through or miss and hit the wooden fence. Not that I ever miss and hit the fence :

Depends on what you're doing, hunting or target shooting. If your hunting, I've been using Goldtips 5575's for several years. I have a couple that I started using 8 years ago. 8 years and a few pass through shots later, they'll be looking for more blood this season. laugh

Easton Axis 400's for me and love them! Don't shoot them in 3D though, they are a mother to pull from the targets.

8.2 grains per inch. I'm not sure about the cost. I haven't bought any in about 3 years. laugh They were always more economical than the Beemans and CX's.

For hunting, nothing wrong with good ole Easton XX75/XX78's.

Pat's hasn't had Goldtips lately. I usually order mine off Ebay.

Good ole aluminum Easton 2213's. Always had great results with them and will use them as long as they are made.

I used the GT 5575 Pro Hunnters last year. They have a +/- 1 grain dz and +/-.001 straightness. I get then thru ArcheryWarehouse.com for, I think, around $89 or $99 a doz unfletched.

Cheapest for that straightness and weight rating.

I have shot the AXIS and something about them I just don't like mainly the grain/straightness rating for the price. Although you can pick up some of last years models for a decent price because they came out with all that Nano stuff.

Thinking about going with the CX Maxima Hunters this year. Bought a couple that I've been shooting and so far I like them. Just don't know if I like them enough to justify the difference in price over the GT's
