I asked the president about drinking while actively hunting, His response was: “Ive been in the club 30 years and we’ve never had a drinking incident”. slap I dont begrudge anybody drinking; however, drinking while hunting and high power rifles dont mix. Over the 3 years I was there, it got steadily worse. The club was large (about 30 active members) of these 30, 15 were very heavy drinkers that hunted a lot. To the point of loading beer in backpacks at 5am at the sign in board. I cant help but believe there will be some type of incident one day, drinking member falling out of tree, accidental shooting, fights, ex. Just too much for me and my boys.

I like to throw em back but that sounds insane. Getting drunk with a loaded gun and climbing a tree sounds like a death wish. Not to mention either driving back to camp or driving an ATV back etc.
