I like 90's rap music sometimes, and I know a whole lot of 20 something year old white guys who like it to.
I grew up in the white suburbs in Shelby County. You were more likely to find Tupac or Wu Tang playing than Jason Aldean or Luke Bryan. I don't know why that is, but it just is.
I like rap music through most of the decades it's been around.....in certain situations. Like when I'm at the gym or running or occasionally running the boat down the lake. My iTunes playlist is rather broad with everything from old country (Hank SR), to Elvis, to anything else you can think of. I did not however like the rapper last night.
