Come on Dave,
Do you think OSU is better than Bama?
It is real easy to talk strength of schedule at the end. It is amazing that Bama ended up with their schedule being as easy as it was.
Let's see.
At the time the games where played.
OSU played 4 teams that were ranked. Texas AM, Texas, KS State, and OK.
Bama played 5 teams that were ranked. Penn St, Ark, FL, LSU, and Auburn.
Opponents highest ranking during the season.
Each team played 5 top 15 teams if you look at the opponents highest ranking.
Each team had one team fall out of the rankings by the end. FL and Texas AM.
So, to me, it is pretty much a wash on SOS. I then look at who they lost too. No contest there.
End of story.

And all of this coming from a school that used to be in the Big 8. The conference where Ok and Nebraska used to play laugher schedules all season and the winner of the BIG GAME at the end got to play for the NC. What a joke!

Screw all the excuse making, he's paid to get Bama to the big game, he did that with his vote. Doesn't matter if he was sincere. It needed to be done for him to help his team.
Bama fans have got a dang thin skin over this. There is a reason and I don't blame them.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

In the back door and laughin' all the way? Great gameplan - play a weak schedule, lose to #1, sit out and recuperate "Championship weekend" slide into the title game on biased voting and then hope for a miracle to beat LSU in the NC and "claim" a National Championship on the technicalities of a flawed system. Even if 'bama wins - LSU 13-1 against a very tough schedule, 'bama 12-1 against a weaksauce schedule = LSU National Champs! Unless you want to play two more games and win them both - LSU is the better team. Is it hemorrhoids too, or just the most severe case of raw, burning redass ever? I'm told it's a deep, burning type hurt. Way more than just the surface. Goes well beyond the rim. It's all up in there, think deep space nine type burning itch. Salves can't calm it. Could take years to really get over it.
The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...

Look, most coaches are going to do what Saban did to give his own team a leg up. That's what they're paid to do! So why should these openly biased coaches be allowed to vote? There's no way in hell you can objectively put Stanford above OSU. The Cowboys won what was the best conference in the country statistically. They played the eighth-toughest schedule whereas Stanford played the 64th-toughest. The only reason Saban was able to get away with it is because the two teams have the same number of losses (1) — by EVERY OTHER METRIC, OSU is better. If Saban really wanted to increase Bama's odds and decrease OSU's, then he would have put Bama 1, LSU 2, Stanford 3, followed by all other 1-loss teams, maybe a couple 2-loss teams, and THEN throw OSU into the list. THAT would be how you "stack the deck in your favor". Otherwise, he voted his "opinion", which he is entitled to and is actually asked to provide on his Coachs' Poll Ballot.

I would bet that saban does the same thing almost every other coach does. Assigns one of his assistants the job of voting for him. Anybody remember when spurrier didn't vote tebow for some award and it was found that his assistant voted for him?

Wonder why only 59 hand picked coaches vote in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll? It's obvious. It's a Bammer, ESPN, Kirk Herstreit,Nick Saban conspiracy, especially that she male Saban. He real nasty like. He reminds me of that little french man who was real mean a long time ago.
