Guys Ive cut my teeth on recurve bows. My dad gave me my first one at age 13..a Ben Pearson Cougar 40# draw weight. When I was about 18 I moved up to a PSE take down of 55#.. The 55# bow has never seemed to be as smooth or as acurate as my ben pearson.. For the past three years Ive essentially done nothing but duck and dove hunt..trying to get back in the sport and I am shooting HORRIBLE..I was never this bad even the first time I shot the bow Long story short...thinking of getting rid of the recurve and getting a compound since I dont have as much time to practice..any suggestions

That would be because of the draw weight difference. That may be a reason you're not shooting as accurately now. After 3 years of not excersising those muscles, you'll need something lighter to draw to get back in the swing of things. Heck, the longbow I shoot is only a 45 pounder. It'll kill a deer just fine.
The true mark of a man is not how he conducts himself during times of prosperity, but how he conducts himself during times of adversity.

[/b]I agree. Try building up your muscles before giving up.
But who prays for Satan? Who, in eighteen centuries, has had the common humanity to pray for the one sinner that needed it most?
