Coffee in hand, my trusty hunting dog Maggie riding shotgun and I'm headed to the woods. This morning will likely wrap it up for me this year so hopefully I can fill my last tag. Moving to Cullman and starting a new job next week so that will put hunting on the back burner for the duration of the year. Everyone hunt safe and God Bless.

Going to hit Mulberry wma this afternoon. They have all the timber marked to be clearcut in this area so I'm gonna enjoy it while I can. I sure hope they wait till after turkey season before they cut

On a plot in a WMA. I found two scrapes on my way in that hadn't been freshened since the last rain, so the rut should be on.

They are moving. Finished climbing about 645 and Immediately has a hot doe come through. A spike, two 8 points, and a 9 point were right behind her. Waiting on their dad or uncle to show up next.

I'm also here. Two does earlier and a spike just came through on the same trail grunting about every step.

Just had a monster step out at 100 yards. Too bad it's bow only here.

Huntin my Lee county spot this morning. No deer but I'm absolutely covered up with turkeys. Just had a flock of 15 hens and young uns come by followed by 5 gobblers. Got another flock 1 ridge over with 2 gobbling over there. Done got my blood pressure up.

One big buck makes it the Facebook and this weekend is the first time alllllll year TNF has made LFTT. Rumor is this deer wasn't killed on TNF anyways. Publicity stunt pulled by AWFF

Had 32 turkeys come through the bottom 5 big gobblers where strutting. Of course I don't have turkey rights here

Somebody dropped one maybe 300 yards from where I was. Time to relocate
