I have a single shot yildiz .410 that I have to do some work on. If I can get it shooting like I want it will probably become my primary turkey gun once the leaves get on.

I can take a chainsaw file and make the barrels shoot anywhere I want them to hit. smile

But I think you are right. With turkey loads it's not likely a gun will center 2 barrels at the same spot without some work.

I haven't done it, but a machine shop with a wire machine along with some trial and error could make a two barrled shot gun shoot the same spot perfectly.

No doubt they could, but that would be a much bigger project than just taking a file to the end of the barrel. The only problem with the method is that it will open the pattern some, so it works best with screw in chokes. You can start with one a size tighter than you want for final results.

I've tested quite a few sxs guns and none of them would shoot tss turkey loads to the same spot with both barrels well enough to suit me. Some of them wouldn't center any loads, but most of them are set up for field loads and do a decent job with them. A sxs gun has to have a certain amount of barrel convergence to account for the recoil. If the barrels were parallel then the recoil would cause the right barrel to shoot to the right and the left barrel to the left. The convergence is supposed to account for the recoil, but the gun makers have to design the gun for a certain amount of recoil, and they all seem to make them to shoot field loads. It's impossible to make a sxs that will center all loads.

I wish I had enough money to build a factory and make 20 gauge sxs guns with DT and 24" barrels that weigh 5 lbs and will center 1.625 oz tss loads. I'll bet I could sell at least a dozen of them to other hunters who think like me. smile

I'd buy one if those barrels were stacked instead of SxS.
