Frankly I just find it kinda embarrassing. That some piss poor illegal and dangerous advice can be given and accepted on a public message board. If shooting a persistent nuisance dog on your own land is piss poor illegal and dangerous advice in your book then what do you call going onto someone else's land and violently assaulting or killing a human being over a dog? You go on someone else's land with the intent to harm them, especially if you take a weapon, and you have handed that person a perfect legal right to shoot your ass. They won't spend a day in jail for defending themselves on their own land. On the other hand, if you kill them on their land over a dog you will have no protection under the law. That is not a valid legal excuse for taking a human life. In fact ,at trial, "I was pissed about a dog" is what they call a "motive". And it helps the prosecution not the defense. Worst case going gunning for someone on their own land is that you end up dead. Best case is you kill them instead and then get to spend at least 25 years in some sh#thole like Holman down at Atmore getting cornholed by bull queers and sh##ting blood every night. Neither of those outcomes sound very good to me if we are talking about good advice here.

I will kill your dog if its on my property harrassing me or my things. I will not kill your dog if it is not bothering anything. I will come ask you to handle it. Depending on your attitude would depict future actions. None would include me killin it if its not aggressive. The pound would get it after 3 times no matter what. But if the dog aint hurting nothing at all then i dont care if he comes by. Did i make that understandable? Holy smokes. I need tobacco Totally understandable and what I would definitely call fair, my whole point is folks telling someone to shoot another man's dog of jump street. There's was several good opinions given. Advising someone to break the law. Isn't a viable option. Imo. Maybe that's what goes for good advice around here.

But to answer your question Todd. I never advised anyone to do that now did I. I just explained what's liable to happen.
And for the rest of your post. I guess it depends on who's in court to tell there version. A man goes to get his dog you shot and you pulled gun on him. Who knows how it'll go. But these aren't things I would expect a nurse to know though.

My neighbor has a big ol yaller Lab. I got small acreage here at the house but I got greenfield, stand, feeder, camera and try to keep a few deer around. Hunt em a little. Enjoy getting pictures of them. This damn yaller Lab runs all over my place. Chits under my stand. Takes a piss on my trail cam. I’ve almost gone over and said “Look, if I wanted a big yaller Lab on my place, I’d own a big yaller Lab.” But I haven’t because my neighbor is a good guy, works hard, minds his own business and his kids love that ol dog. I don’t want to get in a pissing contest over the dog and have hard feelings. I just let it go. I was a hard ass about stuff like this in my youth. But my relationship with my neighbor, even though we’re casual friends at best, means more to me than the dog. I guess I say all this to say the golden rule needs to apply somewhere and we need to treat each other like we want to be treated. Come on folks.

Well Todd are you saying it ain't illegal and dangerous advice? Cause we gonna need to get that straight first. I would never want to harm a persons dog and have never done it. I certainly wouldn't do it for a single or even occasional transgression. But ultimately if it's a persistent problem and you won't handle the situation then I will. If someone Shoots Shovels and Shuts up how will you know what happened to the dog or who did it? Know how you could know everything that happens to your dog? Keep them on your land.

You better leave the outlaw chit to the outlaws, cause they'd turn you out at a work release camp.

Yeah good luck tracking that shucks when it's thrown off a bridge. And if you are tracking your dogs that well then you know they are trespassing and really have no excuse for your thuggish lowlife behavior.

On the flip side though. Once they skin you up. I can argue with you ( a nurse) about what you should do medically. That'd be par for the course wouldn't it.

On the flip side though. Once they skin you up. I can argue with you ( a nurse) about what you should do medically. That'd be par for the course wouldn't it. The representation on this site by a lot of the dog guys will end up being their complete undoing eventually. Very few showed logical presentations like Hyco did. Some appear to just wanna kill you on your land after they and their dog trespassed. SMH.

When dog hunting goes the way of the Dodo bird I will genuinely feel sorry for the minority of guys out there trying to do it right. Hell my family did it for years. But when it is gone they can look back at every dog thread at forums like this one and see the very people who caused it to become illegal. The "I'll run my dogs where I please and beat your ass or kill you if you don't f##king like it" crowd is going to be the death of the sport. They lose support every time they post in threads like this one.
