for years now, i have wanted to fish some skinny swamp water near us and we tried it with a 14' aluminum with a 25 mercury. submerged cypress stumps seemed to get the better of us and even though it is a mercury, i really like that little 2 stroke and don't want anything to happen to it. what's one to do? buy the right boat for the job. there's a local boat builder that's been getting some good reviews in the duck hunting community and we decided to let him do a custom boat for us. guys working out the details ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/LHBRsJv.jpg) view from stern ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/Z4oIVtm.jpg) view from bow ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/KoRGl7H.jpg) after paint but before clear ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/k5WfD0q.jpg) the rubber mat stuff is going where there is not paint ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/D4pktqA.jpg) after clear has been applied ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/qod1liq.jpg) i guess it's curing outside or they needed the room in the shop ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/iq8HWLj.jpg) electrician running wire ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/TZLU7ZO.jpg)

Looks good, congrats on the new boat. I AM going to build my own aluminum boat one of these days.

Mighty Fine boat Definitely something to be proud of!!! My father n law and his family all have boats built by LifeTyme in Louisiana, you just can't beat a custom built boat. If i didn't like my Lowe Roughneck CC so much I'd have one built...
Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!

Awesome rig. How long did it take to finish? the actual build was around 6 to 7 weeks but we had to wait about three weeks for the new style motor.

Looks good, congrats on the new boat. I AM going to build my own aluminum boat one of these days. I THOUGHT YOU WERE!!! Lol. I didn't start from one, raw, flat sheet of aluminum. Gonna do that one of these days, if I live long enough to finish the one I'm working on now. IDOT will be happy to know that the first piece of carpet is cut to shape and ready to install tomorrow.

Good looking boat. I've lusted after the Gatortrax boats for years, but never pulled the trigger on one.
