Terrible....I've thought about going up there because I love trail riding but it makes me a little nervous....I know I'm safe and smart, but I've heard too many stories about a lot of other folks there that are reckless and stupid...

No idea how this place remains insured. Sounds like a death trap.

Article said she was thrown from a RZR that rolled...Said she was not wearing a seatbelt...they put 5pt harnesses in those things for a reason, but I'd bet they go unused 95% of the time.

Riding as a passenger in a RZR 900 and not wearing your seatbelt. One bad decision can cost you your life.

If you're gonna be stupid you better be tough.

Yep, this is why I don't do OHV parks.

Isn't that the same thing that happened last year?

They have them on tractors too. I don’t know anyone besides me that wears it. I’m not too cool.

That place is dangerous as hell and I can't believe more people haven't been killed there. That is where I flipped my Ranger and knocked some of my ex wifes teeth out on the roll bar. I was sober, watching what I was doing and being very cautious cause the kids were on there with us. Thankfully they were buckled up and no-one was hurt other than the ex wife but that was on the beginner trails and it happened. I have been on 4 wheelers, motorcycles and anything else like that since I was a kid. Done some really dangerous things on them that shoulda hurt me really bad. Never imagined flipping a Ranger Crew the way I did but it happened. We were just talking about this incident last night and I would bet money that 80% of the people up there riding on any given weekend are drinking or drunk. I seen people acting like complete idiots the day we were there. I won't ever be back.

Like any place where riding of any vehicle takes place, the experience of the driver should coincide with the difficulty of the terrain. More often than not, the driver overestimates their ability to deal with the terrain.

Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

We used to ride Tellico all the time when it was open. Very dangerous trails on an ATV but that is what we liked. Only trail that I did not do was Rock Garden. To be honest, all of the trails we rode required a minimum of a six pack to get eh courage up. A lot of the trails we rode were roughly 2-300 feet down if you flipped. Not for the novice riders for sure. We say our share of them with some mangled up ATVs.

No, I believe last year someone (a spectator) was in an area they weren't supposed to be and a wreck happened and hit them

So your wreck was driver error. Plus, admit it, your ex was missing those teeth before the crash.😀

A new one is $20k+

I’m with you on not understanding folks spending that much on a toy to tear up.
