James if you had to only have one would it be the 4 gal or 2.5? I usually cook for between 3 and 6. 2.5 would be plenty. We usually have a crew of 8 and it does just fine, the bigger one just requires too much oil for a small gathering.
Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many!
