That's the amount I wired to my mortgage company today to pay off my home and property. I am officially debt free. No house payment, no car payments, no credit card debt. Feels great, don't it! I was lucky enough to do it about a year ago now.
The harder I practice, the luckier I get.

Congratulations on getting out from under that debt, and also on not being in debt to a bunch of credit cards. Too many people flip out the plastic every time they purchase something and they don't keep up with their debt and make minimum payments. Eventually they will want their money. This absolutely boggles my mind that some people have this view of credit cards. All they are is glammed up safer debit cards that can offer some awesome perks.

Credit cards are one of the dumbest things I've ever done. I'm on my way to being out of that trap tho. They're some of the best things I've done. 10% cash back on fuel right now in Q1 on my Discover It card, ya sign me up. All in how they're used and/or misused.

Don't get me wrong...wife and I use a credit card for nearly every purchase we make.
We simply pay off the balance every week or so and rake in the rewards.

We simply pay off the balance every week or so and rake in the rewards. Winner Winner Winner. If the balance is being routinely paid off whether that's weekly or monthly, why would I turn down "free" money? Late last year I got a Wells Fargo card, spend $1000 & get a $200 sign up bonus. Ya sure sign me up. I like $200 of money I don't have to work for and that's tax-free.

For every dollar he spends he gets like 3-5% store credit. He pays the card off at the end of the month to keep from paying any interest. I am not sure how many months it took him to get enough store credit saved up, but last year he cashed the credit in for 3 different glocks. Guns for free sounds awesome to me.

I use one credit card for all my fuel purchases and expenses for my job. I pay it off every month. I called last week to cash out my rewards and just got the checks for a total of $1475.00.

Eventually folks that put everything on a cc will get caught where they can’t pay it off, it has happened to everyone I know that has more than 1 person using the card

We've always done it this way, and we've yet to carry a single dollar into the next month....not one single time.
