Hope y'all having better luck than me. My bird was roosted across creek with hens. Maybe they'll think grass is greener on my side soon and jump the creek.

I killed a double spurred bird about an hour ago. Almost killed one pretty early on, but a coyote flushed them when they were about 70yds out. The coyote didn't make it!

Had 2 long beards below me in a bottom about 100 yds couldnt get them to leave their hens.

I took off Thursday - Sunday last week and pulled the trigger on a big gobbling jake Friday morning.

Should be able to get back after them this weekend.

Well I was happy with the start of the season. Was able to play with gobbling birds every single day but their hens are very jealous right now. Won't be able to get back after them till Sunday but good luck to all that are able to chase them the rest of the week.

We may have to elect southwood the official picture poster. He's been getting plenty of practice this year!
