Just don't go to the place that is across the street from the hospital. I was in their kitchen on 2 different occasions and one time there was a dead doe bleeding out in the floor, the other time a waitress brought some half eaten plates back from a table that had left. Set them down on a table in the back and started eating what was left. This was about 5-6 years ago. Idk if they are still open or not O.k, so the deer thing is a joke, right?

Taqueria food in general > Zapopans. Margaritas (Taq, Zaps and Cozumel) all abt the same. Zapopans (Calera) atmosphere and queso hard to beat.

Can't remember the name of it but there is a fine little Mexican restaurant at Exit 97 off 20/59 before you get to the Lakeview area.
Ate there one evening last week.
It's good.

San Antonio grille is low grade dog food. JMHO. You shut your mouth. In all honesty, it's one of my favorites of those listed. Good folks that have been there for years. Always friendly and the food is good IMO. They have a San Antonio Grill in Mc Calla too. It is owned by the same folks. We used to go there weekly for a family dinner with all my wife's side of the family. The guy likes to drink his on alcohol while he working. We dad a problem with my daughters food once when she was young. The chicken wasn't done. Told him about it and he proceeded to pick It off her plate and take a bite of it and said "it looks done to me!". He threw the piece back down on the plate and proceeded to walk of...My FIL and I both stood up and stopped him and made it know he was going to make it right. Apparently his level of inebriation hadn't killed all common sense. We got another plate of her food and we all finished what we ordered. I haven't been back since.

San Antonio is freakin nasty
there is a really good one off I-59 Bessemer exit 106 next to town & Country Ford... Amazing Mexican
Also exit 100 lakeview/McCalla hwy 216 El Comal. the only thing I get there is the Texicano burrito. this thing is huge, has all the veggies plus beef, pork, chicken and shrimp covered in melted cheese goodness

My kids run in and hug him every time we go there. I like supporting friendly folks. You will see him running around serving about 10 tables by himself.

He is still there or was a yr or so ago. He is a big deer hunter

Yep Margarita Grill. Get them to make the guacomole at the table, it is really good.
