Last weekend my dad and I enjoyed our coffee at the camp house during the early morning rain. Hit the woods about 7:45, went to an area we had been hearing a couple birds in some open select cut pines. I gave a short series of yelps and a gobbler cut me off. We sat silent for 20 minutes and 2 gobblers came searching for us through the pines. Only one left. He was wet and ugly, but it was a great hunt to share with my dad.
