What year did you graduate and was there ever any kind of law enforcement presence at your school?Besides directing traffic if needed.


Me in 1981 and the only time we ever saw an LEO it was from someone that was in trouble for something they did away from school. Which was rare as well. Never saw them directing traffic like they do now.

Graduated in 2011 from private school There was never any sort of police/security presence other than during sporting events.

2009 we had school police officers

Class '82 graduating class of 330 - the only time I ever saw law enforcement on campus was during football games.

Class of 1990. We had no police

2002, 6A public school, I cant remember police outside of special events.

1988 we graduated about 300. I never saw a LEO at school.

1972, no police. Hell the ROTC had M-1's on the campus. Many trucks had gunracks with rifles and shotguns in them in the parking lot. People were more civilized. Plain and simple No video games, we pledged to our flag and said the Lord's Prayer every morning. Wait, I was in first integrated class in Mobile County. We had the Police out a lot that year. big fights at least once a week.

1990. Never saw the police. Didn't need them. We had Mr. Lockyer, a retired captain from the military that had arms like tree trunks and ran our school like a military base when it came to discipline. We would have rather faced the police than him, I believe.

1969, we carried all sorts of guns to school in our cars/trucks. No one EVER thought about taking any gun into the school, or shooting the school up.

1984 - no police. Guns galore, in the trucks in parking lot. Teacher even asked, on one occasion, for my friend to bring in his Christmas present so he could see it, brand new Remington 30-06.

72 gardendale George Rogers trade school. No shootings or cops we were chasing tail and butting heads like on America Graffiti. If you got in trouble at school or anywhere else the old man would bust your ass. Problem solved.

1997 from Fairview nearly every truck had a gun in the gun rack, the only time we saw police was if they walked the drug dogs through someone was involved in something that happened outside of school.

2002. Only time we ever had police come in school are the times they brought the dog in randomly sniffing lockers and vehicles for drugs.

2007, had a school cop.

2004. Yes we had police patrolling the schools regularly. Most of the time they would come eat lunch and walk around the school. We had a shooting in 2002. It was a freak accident but they classified it a school shooting. We all still kept our rifles in our vehicles though.

1969. no need for police ...

You couldn't have paid the police to eat the crap they served us. Tat candy machine and coke machine made big money at my school. The food was terrible every freaking day. odd because food in elementary was wonderful.

'98 & no police other than football games & once a year when they would randomly bring the reefer hound to sniff around the hallways.
