'86 don't remember a cop ever in school or at a football game? Maybe saw one in gym when county basketball tourney was held there. Always guns in our trucks, with the doors unlocked and the keys in the ignition. Different times for sure.

Graduated 1989. When I was a junior in ‘87-88 I carried my Belgium Browning 12g to school as a class project on how to break it down and clean it. Only thing I was asked while walking down the hall packed full of kids going to class was by the assistant principal, he tried to buy it from me.

80. Had a gun in the truck every day of any hunting season. Used shop time to clean guns and game. Only time I ever saw an LEO was to look at a new gun or get some freah wild game.

1986 and had no police to come around and a parking lot full of trucks with rifles and shotguns in racks

1979 - Huntsville, AL. Never had police at the school that I can remember. It was not unusual that during hunting season many folks had rifles or shotguns in their vehicles (me included) and hunted deer or ducks before and/or after school.

However in Jr High (7-9) in Titusville, FL the police were there a number of time due to big fights about every 2 weeks between basically the same group of blacks and whites beating the hell out of each other... got ugly a couple times and I was glad we moved from there before things got worse. But even then there were no guns or knives - just fists & feets. Occasionally some of the bros would use bicycle lock chains (the old-style that the chain was covered with a thin plastic tube). They'd whip them out and flog the crap out of someone a time or two before they got swarmed, disarmed and then beat with their own weapon. I did get stabbed one time back then with an old style afro-pick - went pretty deep due to the Jheri Curl grease!

1965, law enforcement never needed or even thought about. If we had a problem, we settled it out behind the school at the end of the day. Was always quite an event, word traveled fast. We should have charged an admission fee. Normally, we shook hands when it was over and that was the end of it. Different time, different world

1994- Mobile County and we had school resource officers.. Also had a shooting at high school involving students and a lunch room stabbing between two girls..

Ron, often the guys ended up being good friends the next day. New found respect for each other. Hard to do after you kill someone.

I graduated in 1965 from Pensacola High. We had a few problems in 1963 when we got our first black students, but the coaches took care of it. I don't ever remember any police except at football games.

2002. Class of about 250. We had a dare officer which was an off duty policeman.

1985, guns were common in our trucks. The law came and visited me a couple times at school.

84’ Panama City. No police except football games. Parking lot full of trucks loaded with dog boxes and guns. We could even smoke at school over by the gym

2002 , Freshman year all the hunters old enough to drive had guns in there truck . I got expelled my senior year from all public schools for 3 years for having a rifle in my truck . Went to a community college to graduate and did so before my peers . Got my 336 30/30 back from the sheriffs office but it was missing the scope , rings , mount and hammer spur ! bastages

79 wasn't many boys around when deer season opened, guns in trucks.

2006 Section High School. We usually had a cop hanging around most of the time

82 here as well.

No security guards, and most trucks had gun racks in the back window. And during the fall/winter months there was a shotgun in it.

84 and the on!y cops we had were for football games also. Everyone had guns back then. My mom was a teacher and she carried a gun in her purse. Hell I knew that several of the teachers had guns.

1987 class of 377 graduates probably 250 guns in trucks,cars. Deputy sheriff's daughter had 2 Smith .357's in her ride she could handle those Smith's as well. Never a cop unless it was something outside.

Class of '88. We had so many guns at shool and everyone new it. Even some of the teachers had guns because they would come hunting with us. Never had a problem. It would still be like that today if the left wasn't trying to pussyfy our kids.
