Looking for a reasonable septic service around the North Alabama to have my tank pumped. So far everyone I've called seems high, but I might just be underestimating what I thought it would cost. Ya'll got any recommendations?
Yeah, well, I always heard there were three kinds of suns in Kansas: sunshine, sunflowers, and sons-of-bitches.

Ya'll got any recommendations? If everyone is in the same ballpark for the same service offered, then you probably are underestimating. Roto rooter, Mr. Rooter, Wayne’s portable toilet and septic service in scottsboro. Those seem to be the three I see around and popped in my head. Not sure of quality of work performed by any of them though.

How much have they quoted and do you have risers or will they have to dig up the lid? How big is the tank?

Roto-Rooter gave me a price of $260 + disposal fee (won't know what that is until they look at it). So all the services that I talked to seem to be in the same ballpark. I do have the green riser lids, but I am not sure of the size of the tank. Just bought the house 3 years ago and am just now going to have it pumped for the first time.

I called and scheduled mine to be pumped yesterday. I did some shopping around, and found http://www.aeplumb.com/ for north/central AL. They are running a special @ $195 for 1000gal or less. I looked at their website. I doesn't seem like they service up here around the Huntsville area. EDIT: I take that back. Just called them and they will service this area. I appreciate that bud.
