I may have an opportunity to get into a club in what used to be the old Scotch Management Area around Grove Hill. Any input on deer population, size and the area is appreciated. It depends if this opportunity is truly on what use to be the Old WMA land. There is a club on Facebook looking for members that claims to be part of the old wma. However, that is not truly accurate. It may have been at one point a long time ago but not part of the 19,000 acres that has been leased. If your opportunity is part of the 19,000 acre QDM cooperative I'd be stroking a check. I can tell you Danny aka 'hogwild" and I have worked like rented mules on our place to get it headed in the right direction. I know our west neighbors have done the same. Our 3 leases control over 11,000 acres and we are managing very similar. This property will be a special place to hunt within 3 years if not sooner. A lot of work to be done to get there but everyone so far is on board with that goal. We are happy with what we are seeing and the potential of our lease.
