The title is 45-70 but looks like the topic evolved to include most big bore lever gun calibers. Even the 44 Russian was mentioned. Thus my original question, "Why not a 405 Winchester"? Guess I could have started one of those spin-off threads. My bad. I actually thought you was asking about the 405 grain. My reading comprehsion and ADD don't compliment each other.
