Anybody else have a lot fewer hummingbirds this year? Normally they would swarming around our feeders right now like a hive of bee's.... The most we have seen using the feeder at one time is four birds....

We haven't noticed as many at the cabin this year.

Maybe the Russians are involved somehow.

We have a bunch this summer. Last summer not many at all. Maybe it's cyclical in some areas??

Grandmothers hummingbirds are about the same as previous years. She told me today though that she’s had a solid white albino bird show up that she’s never seen before.

I'd love to see a picture of that and somebody, somewhere would love to band it. About 14-15 years ago I had a Rufous Humminbird feeding at a feeder in the fall. A guy from Birmingham drove up, caught it and banded it.

I've got more than usual. There was about a dozen out there one day last week. I'm glad sugar is cheap as I'm filling the feeder daily.

my mom has a bunch this year . she has four quart (about) feeders and she fills them ever morning . last time i was home they were like bees swarming them .

most years they fight over them , this years she has so many one bird can't fight the rest off . i go out on the porch to smoke they will run over you flying back and forth

Not as many as normal at my house in Lee co. In fact found a dead bird under my feeder when I got back from St. Augustine this weekend. [Linked Image]
