Maybe he got excited to learn he's not quite as much a freak as he originally thought?
So is that why he lived with Gary?

Stated inaccuracies drive me nuts. Once I read that one, I couldn’t finish reading the rest of your post. Stated inaccuracies It ain't like I Googled it for precision, was just a guess from memory (I was thinking they always say 10%). Coulda been 2.688% or 26.88% for all I know, which was sorta my point about "that's all you took from my ramblings?" The emphasis was just to show that a tiny percent of the population professes homosexuality, yet the national public is on some kind of mission to integrate it into the psyche of the other 90% (or is it 95%? I kid, I kid) The association is that there's some sort of "unseen forces" at work in America driving irrational narratives. Kaepernick's plight is seen as a fight against racism, but it's not racism at all. You couldn't build a case for racism that would last 2 seconds against even basic cross-examination. It's Left-wing anti-colonialism, it's all euphemisms for white supremacy, it's a cultural assault to usher in multi-culturalism. Which cultures?...doesn't matter, as long as it's not a "Western" white-supremacist culture. The real question is why would a company join that fight, especially when you wouldn't have to?

Nike's stock has stabilized today at just about where it finished yesterday. It was up a little bit early on then dropped back down to essentially where it closed yesterday. Protests and boycotts are great but unless they are large enough to scare the institutional investors into liquidating their positions in the company, Nike will weather the storm and keep on trucking with Kap as their new face man. Yep. Investors looking at the long-term prospects probably jumped on the $3+ dip yesterday to $79 to buy shares. Now it's back up above $80 and inching along. Here's the thing, though: Nike will be showing the advertisements during the NFL games all season, and at other times in the coming year during sports events and other events/shows. Yahoo Sports reports that the ads will run through the entire NFL season. So, people will be pissed off every time it airs and thus Nike is shooting itself in the feet (so to speak) by continually inflaming emotions, or they're banking on after a couple of weeks everyone shrugging or ignoring it and going about their business. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...-falcons-eagles-featuring-serena-lebron/

Pretty much, yeah. The only folks who watch the NFL now are the ones who buy Nikes and Levi's and such. Right?
They'll show up on college football games, though.

don't get it with this guy. He is a big baby and is not good enough to play pro ball so he makes a scene. He doesn't care about black folks, he was raised with rich white people. If thats what some would call a hero. I'm sorry for those folks. Heros are those that died protecting our flag as my father did in Korea and a lot of my friends did in Nam. Makes me sick. As for the lady on this site that thinks its ok to act that way, all I can say is she is wrong he doesn't have that right because he never earned it.

(While his own doing and deserved, I wouldn’t want him if I owned a franchise). He had just lead them to the Super Bowl, so to say he wasn’t good at football is a little bit of a stretch of the facts Colt McCoy (a career backup) is making $9M in his 9th season. He hasn’t sniffed starting, much less leading a team to the playoffs, much much less the super bowl. Just steady, reliable, and doesn’t rock the boat

Just steady, reliable, and doesn’t rock the boat Before you speak, know what you are talking about. Kap led the 49er's to the Superbowl in 2013. In the following 3 seasons, from 2014 thru 2016, Kap's record as a starter was 11-24. His overall professional record was 28-30 as a starter. He was a flash in the pan that caught lighning in a bottle and got lucky for a 15 month period early in his career. He opted out of the remaining years of his $124 million contract in the spring of 2017 season when it was obvious that the team was moving in another direction at QB and he would not start there again. He was not cut by SF. It was Kap's choice to opt out of the remaining years on his contract, become a free agent and roll the dice thinking the grass would be greener somewhere else. Facts where that his last 3 years of on the field play, in the league, did not warrant another team picking him up especially with the baggage he was lugging around by then with the kneeling crap. Stop listening to what the liberal spin on it is and do your own research on just how good or bad the guy really was.

I think what Huntress is trying to say is boycotting every company, person, and idea out there that isn't in lockstep with you is an impossible game to play. Seriously, you'll have to go underground and live more reclusive than the Amish. The cultural war for America is WAAAAAAAYYY lost, it's long been over boys, drop your guns and live out your remaining days as best you can.
You're fighting: The media at every level, (this you might could change) most of the government at every level, (this you might could change) the education system, (this you might could change) global intrusion, (you ain't changing this) the majority of humanity here and abroad, (you ain't changing this) and quite frankly eschatological trajectory. (you ain't changing this)
Humanity isn't getting better, there's not going to be a return to "Leave it to Beaver" America. If you don't think the slide in America is eschatological, then what is it????? What sort of unseen influence is making this happen??? And what in the world are you gonna do to stop it??? We say roughly 10% of the population is homosexual (I think it's vastly more, but anyway), so why would an entire country--it's media, it's government, it's entire vision and influence, go full-on spazmatic crazed blitzkrieg to champion it???? WHAT/WHO is pushing that agenda? When there's basically zero evidence of racism, why go full-on spazmatic crazed blitzkrieg to start a civil war again over it??? WHO is pushing that? Why would a country sell out everything, it's very soul, for a handful of social whims??? This Nike thing is a but a speck of sand on the sea of America's problem, and they're just one of literally innumerable companies who share the sentiment, move along fellas!!!! So if you are facing a tuff fight it is better to just give up and give in? You have got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything.

I said “I think his point” meaning what he thinks. The socks alone would be a deal breaker for me And fwiw, 49ers were a horrible team, they started the next year without him something like 0-10. Shouldn’t have used word “cut”, he wasn’t cut.

Has anyone else noticed all the servicemen that are supporting this? I haven't seen the first one to persecute what's his face or Nike. No, I've mostly noticed Hillary voters, "the Resistance", Antifa and Black Lives Matter people supporting it. And I mean, it's one thing to defend their right to do it - but to support this...wow.

It’s really sad what this country has become and even more sad that there is much worse to come. My main issue with this whole mess with Nike and Kap is the last phrase of their promo which states “even if it means sacrificing everything”. WTH has this pos sacrificed to “lose everything”? Absolutely NOTHING!! And he’s certainly not lost everything. Disrespecting our flag and country on his owner’s time and dime is my main issue with this narcissistic jerk. If he did it on his time I could care less what he protested even if it’s an overblown exaggerated issue such as this one.
As for Nike I do own a handful of products but I can’t afford to burn or throw out otherwise functional shoes or clothes. However I will certainly not be buying anymore. It’s their right to choose who ever they want for an ad and it’s my right to disassociate myself from them. And that decision doesn’t make me racist or redneck or dumb
Right and wrong will never change---only people's perception!

There is nothing in the constitution that says you have to earn your rights. He has those rights by being born. He has the right to protest. He has the right to freedom of speech. Being in the military doesn't give you any more rights than any other American. Having said that, freedom of speech isn't freedom of consequences. Protesting or not protesting something can have an effect on your job and your life. He is seeing that. Although, as has been pointed out, he could have signed a contract to play several times. Are the rights WE ALL ENJOY protected by the military, yes. Have members of the military died defending those rights for you and me, yes. But, you don't earn your rights.

I have friends who died in Iraq. I have friends who died after we came home. My father was wounded in Vietnam. I honestly don't believe that any of us were actually defending our freedom. The military hasn't actively defended our freedoms since WWII. What we've done, since then, has been an indirect defense of our way of life. That being said, I'll go to my grave defending the US constitution and the rights therein. Likewise, I'll continue to protest those liberals with which I disagree.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.
