First 2, yep, knew all of them. Last one, nope, don't know who. Fun - Where do you get a "job" like that? None of these guys are paid and they are "recruited" to serve on these committees because of their knowledge and expertise. They are requested to offer advise and opinion to the Commissioner, the CAB, or the chair. They make NO rules, just their offer their opinion. Don't blame them and I respect their request for anonymity.

"Anonymity" and "opinion", so this means that they can blow smoke out their kaboose and that is okay? Heck fire, everybody on this site has an opinion and a lot are anonymous to just about everybody else, but they don't have the influence or backpocket of the people that can make things occur to meet their (in this case possibly hidden) agenda.

If you are "in the know", lucky you!

As far as the "job" goes, heck I would love for someone "in power" to ask me what my opinion is without any responsibility or having to justify a decision that will affect "the masses" (or maybe I should say little people), job or not.

The law requires the CAB to have it's own knowlege and expertise. But then, it also says the members terms will be for six years.
What kind of wildlife expertise does Grant Lynch have other than running a race track where the crowds get a little wild sometimes?

Quote:
Section 9-2-14
Advisory Board of Conservation and Natural Resources - Created; composition; qualifications, appointment, terms of office, and compensation of members; residency requirements; meetings; record of meetings and proceedings; transitional members.

(a) There shall be an Advisory Board of Conservation and Natural Resources. The board shall consist of the Governor, the Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries, the Director of the Agricultural Extension System ex officio, and 10 other members to be appointed by the Governor, one of whom the Governor shall designate as chair of the Advisory Board of Conservation and Natural Resources. The appointed members of the board shall be selected with special reference to training and experience along one or more of the principal lines of activity vested in the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. The term of office of each appointed member of the board shall be six years...
[emphasis is mine]

The more you look at the game and fish laws, the less the Department looks like the law says it should.
