I put 300 of those in my pond last year, the biggest we’ve caught so far is just barely big enough to eat maybe. I put in 200 channel cat and they average about 2 pounds now. We feed about 50 pounds of food a week Quality of feed could b affecting bluegill growth. Catfish can convert plant proteins to meat better than bluegill. They need feed with animal protein which is much more costly, plus your cats gonna slurp it up I’m feeding high protein dog food. Kibbles and bits for small dogs. I grind some up for the smaller fish Yep, corn and soybean meal are first two ingredients. High protein fish food(the good stuff) first two ingredients are fish meal and poultry by product meal

It is 32%. The fingerlings get started on feed that is 50%. As they get bigger, they are worked to feed in the high 40s then the low 40s then to 36%. When they get to the 32%, they are about as big as we want them.

A Red Holland flip-n-stik would be even better. That name brings back some good memories! I met him once when he was fishing Hood Lake over in Westville. My great uncle owned the lake. I used to enjoy watching his show when i was visiting.
