Do the blocks not wedge under the trailer when you put a load on it? That has never been a problem. Sometimes they do get wedged but I've always been able to rotate them with the rope and pulled them out. Also, I just put the blocks under the dovetail loosely if that make sense. It's okay if the rear of the trailer dips slightly when you load.
