This whole deal is two part IMO. One is obviously to derail/delay the vote and the other is to energize the dems, particularly women voters for the midterms. Even if Kavanaugh is confirmed this week there’s a great opportunity to use this to take seats down the road.

Thats just the committee vote, still has to go before whole senate. The committee vote doesnt really have to happen. Clarence THOMAS had a full senate vote despite the Judicial Committee note voting on his nomination. Although McConnell has threatened to call for the vote over the weekend.

I think she shows up. They know they can't stop him now so they are going to play it up ant try to get ammo to use in the midterms to energize their voting base. They are counting on republicans to slip up and treat her badly so they can use it at election time.

If she shows up, there will be a professional woman sex crimes prosecutor asking the questions. This is a great idea to get the right questions asked.

This is just stupid now. My guess is this one does him in, either he drops out or the Republican females - including Jeff Flake in that - say they will not vote for him. This will be their MO going forward for all males for anything now. It's all it takes now is just some random allegations from 35 years ago that they can make against just about any male ever, how can you prove them wrong? Can you imagine when the cell phone/social media generation starts getting old enough for these positions? Kavanaugh just came out with a statement saying "This is ridiculous and from the twilight zone. I have no clue who this person even is." Wow, just unreal.

All I can say is, the Repubs better hope they hold the senate and then Trump puts up Amy Coney Barrett who they can't do this chit to and shove her down their throat.
