I was skiing in Wyoming, wearing a t-shirt, when it was 20 degrees. Loving every minute of it.

My uncle moved there when he was 20 or so because he loved it but he’s in his early 60’s and hates it and wants to come back but his wife doesn’t want to leave her family. That cowboy koolaide turned the pioneer spirit of Colorado into a bunch of sissy liberals! Listen to TFD!

How much time have you spent there? I lived in Nebraska for six years and used to go snow skiing in Colorado. I don’t know what it is about the slopes but I’ve seen lots of people skiing in shorts. I’ve skied in long t-shirt lots of times. Maybe it’s because theres no shade and the sun is beating down on you. I really don’t know. I do know there’s a big difference from the slopes and being down on “flat ground” for lack of a better term.

In general, I agree but the western slope still has some of that cowboy spirit. Between steamboat and Durango is a mess

I've been to Casper twice and drove from Rapid City, SD to Devils Tower once. While beautiful, there wasn't a lot of trees.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Depends on what part of Wyoming you’re in.

Depends on which part. West of the continental Divide (Missoula) has great weather and just enough snow in the winter. East of the divide is down right brutal in winter with wind chills well below zero. I personally don’t want to live anywhere where it’s cold enough to kill you in a short amount of time

Were I a single man with no immediate family that I wanted to be near, Bozeman Missoula would be looking reeeaalllly appealing right now.

It boils down to two or three things brother, because I had and lived the same dream.

How hot do you want your summers to be, how cold do you want your winters?

Close to airports, or driving distance, distance to family?

Usually above 8’000 ft in the pines is a good start,

Red River NM ain’t bad.

I don’t understand why anybody would choose having to let you truck run for thirty minutes to melt the ice on your windshield before leaving for work. Brush the snow off your door handle and door seals so the snow doesn’t fall in the floor board and cause your windows to fog up from the interior. Shovel snow of your walkway and driveway. Have road salt eat out the exterior of your vehicle. Drive home from work in white out conditions. Go to bed at night and wonder if the pipes will be frozen or no power due to a frozen limbs snapping power lines in two. Sounds like misery to me. And it is. I’ve dealt with that chit before and never again. I’ll take 5 months of excessive heat and humidity anytime over freezing cold wind chills and dark cold weather. Like Josh said. That chit will kill you.
