The plan was to put the ball in Stidham's hands and see what he could do with it. Problem is he isn't a running QB and needs protection to throw it around. He doesn't have that protection and he's totally out of rhythm and out of sorts. There is no running game to help. It's a total collapse. 7-5 is best case and 6-6 is very realistic at this point.
I can't put it all on the coaches though. Players have to play and have to execute. Sure, we need more and better players but if these guys would execute we could win some games. I’m hoping for 5-7 so just maybe we can get rid of the “Offensive Savant” posing as our head coach 5-7 isn’t getting rid of him this year, the next year or the year after that.

They need to promote Kevin Steele to head coach and then let Malzahn be the offensive coordinator

He has recruited for that high school offense without a running qb.... they dont seem to have a back that can really pound on you in the 4th qtr. or just move the pile 2 or 3 yds... got a bunch of quick ones though.... surely he will figure things out down there with that 40 mil...Miss state...Really...LMAO....

Miss state...Really...LMAO.... It pains me to say this, but be prepared to find your a$$, re-attach it, then get ready to laugh it off again next week, when the orange dumpster fire rolls onto the Plains.
You gonna pull them pistols, or whistle Dixie?

He has recruited for that high school offense without a running qb..... This. Only way this sham of an offense will work with a half ass passer. All you gotta do is look at their past couple of successful years. Cam and Nick. No read option QB...No offensive output.
There are two rules for success: 1. Never tell everything you know.

I just can't believe QB guru Gus missed again on a QB. I mean, all the Auburn fans were telling us how great Stidham was and that he was going to light up the SEC with his arm. How can he not be the savior Gus said he was. Maybe....just maybe, Gus is not the great talent evaluator and developer that he is reported to be. Both he and his agent are eating thick steaks, smoking cigars and toasting each other with $100 cognacs celebrating what they pulled over on the AU administration.
