Looks that way. They just updated on my phone, and it's now saying cat 4 at landfall

Actually, it is...significantly better!...but that wasn't my point. The outright lying to hype the storm was my point.

They don’t have to “hype” this one. It’s handling that on it’s own.

From all of the stories circulating about folks staying to ride it out, media hype would probably be a good thing at this point. A landfalling CAT 4 is uncharted territory for the Florida Panhandle.

Michael looks like he's gonna be a bad muther f'er. I have an aunt in Tallahassee who I talked with on Monday who said she is gonna ride the storm out. I hope she doesn't regret that decision.

Forecasters are saying it looks like it might strengthen right up to landfall. I hope to see some deterioration before noon, otherwise it's going to be beyond terrible for anyone in it's direct path.

It looks like it is going to destroy from Pensacola to Tallahassee.
Kinda thinking the beach house my friends family completed about 2 years ago is going to be toothpicks in PCB.

May strengthen to Cat 5 before landfall. Either way, Michael is gonna make history. Not good.

Its possible this thing could make it to borderline CAT5 at landfall.

What kind of wind speeds are they talking about around the Troy/Luverne area?

30-45mph winds, rain, and bad panicky drivers.

We need to really look and see how much it curves. It seems about half the computer models still have the eye hitting west of PCB. Current official NHC track jogged slightly west overnight, which means they can't discount those models.
