It's crazy how often they Double book the same room. I spent 15+ yrs traveling for business and stayed in hotels 150-200 nights a year.
I've walked in and heard folks in the shower, walked in on folks working at the desk, folks doing drugs, and the craziest was, I opened the door to a room and there was an old boy and gal on the bed. I'm not sure what game they were playing but, he was winning and she was cheering him on. They had their feet toward the headboard and her head was hanging off the foot of the bed. When I walked in, she turned and looked at me and never stopped shouting encouragement to him. It was awkward when we locked eyes. I slowly backed out if the room. I don't think he ever knew I was there.
Got a free night out if that one. They may have needed a third player

No crazy stories like some of these, but I did book into a hotel in Danville, Kentucky a couple of years ago and the previous folks had left the mini fridge with 4 beers in it.

Hotel issues, I've had em.
Working a shutdown 30 years ago in Palatka Fla. A hadji hotel and my partner and I were sharing a double room that had adjoining rooms to another. Came in early one morning and opened the door to find the adjoining room door open and Hadji was in my partner's bed asleep.

I was almost asleep one night when I heard my hotel room door open. A girl walks in, never turned on a light. She just took off her clothes and climbed in bed. Three hours later, I finally told her she had the wrong room. Next night, she did the same thing. Where were you and perch staying?

I checked in a hotel once. Sat down at the little desk area to chill before I had to hop right back up to attend a meeting. I heard the door rattle, and then backs in one of my coworkers pulling her luggage in the room. When she saw me, she was so embarrassed, and exited the room much faster than she entered. We still joke about that to this day. I now use the hotel door latch as well as much stranger things could happen. Why was she embarrassed? Were ya nekkid or something

I’ve opened doors to find them chained before. Ever since then, the first thing I do too is flip the safety latch when I walk in.

No. It was the mere thought that she had entered someone else's room. I had literally just checked in, put my things down, and sat down before having to head out to a meeting. It could have been much more awkward had I been nekkid. LOL

I had a hotel reservation and checked in at about midnight. When I opened the door to "my" room there was a young woman in the bed asleep! I don't think she even woke up. I just backed out of there as fast as I could. Definitely freaked me out.

This has happened to me many times on both ends. Once it lead to cocktails and some guys wife (or girlfriend?) hitting on me in front of him. I had to escape.

Was the last name of the hotel owner Patel? Did you know that the name Patel translates from WAY back as 'Inn Keeper' ..... ?
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Was the last name of the hotel owner Patel? Did you know that the name Patel translates from WAY back as 'Inn Keeper' ..... ? Sure does. I love to mess with them when I check out. I’ll ask if he could call his cousin in suchnsuch and work me out a deal. I not know him they’ll say. I asked one Mr Patel was there a bunch of John Smiths in India that owns all the motels. They won’t ever answer that.

I bet she got mad when she seen you trying to sneak another woman in there.
