Shrimp and oysters and fried clams = Cocktail sauce Southern fried fish = Tarter sauce Beer batter fried fish = Malt vinegar Properly grilled, blackened or sautéed fish = Whatever sauce the chef serves with it. I agree with this with the addition that most properly seasoned fish doesn’t need a lot of sauce.

Ain't never seen someone put cocktail sauce on a piece of fish in my life that was sober. Cocktail sauce is for shellfish. Tarter is for fish sammiches. Been around a couple hundred years. Made with pickles. If it don't have pickles it ain't tarter. Next thing y'all gonna tell me "I don't like mayo". Maybe you put Marinara on your steak.. I don't know. Something is wrong with y'all. Who don't like a fish sammich slathered with tarter?.... well, maybe most people don't... but that's not the point. Damn right.

Some fresh bluegill filets go rightly nice with good ole ketchup.

Louisiana hot sauce mixed with mustard is an incredibly good as a fried fish dip. I’ve never heard of this, but I will try it. Sounds interesting

Louisiana hot sauce mixed with mustard is an incredibly good as a fried fish dip. Yes sir, that’s my “wet” batter on all fish I fry. Straight yella cornmeal with some Tony’s for my dry. 375 degree peanut oil for a bath. And I like tartar sauce as well.

Tarter with dill, I like it with fried shrimp, I eat the tail too.

I don't do mayo either. Nastiest stuff on planet Earth. I dont like steak marinades, I will put A1 on a steak. X2 on the mayo. That mess is absolutely disgusting. ![[Linked Image]](http://i.imgur.com/nKR63q8.jpg)

Shrimp and oysters and fried clams = Cocktail sauce Southern fried fish = Tarter sauce Beer batter fried fish = Malt vinegar Properly grilled, blackened or sautéed fish = Whatever sauce the chef serves with it. I cooked in a fish and seafood restaurant for 6 years and this is what I know to be true.

I should have added that "When I do use sauce..." those are the sauces I use on what seafood.

Ranch is good with fish. Hush puppies should have onion powder NOT onion, because onion slices aren't the same thickness. Cocktail sauce is acceptable, tartar and mayonnaise are nasty.
Skinny is my EX.Alcohol was involved.
