By the way, we are not the only country that has birthright citizenship. Canada does too. So to most central and South America countries. To quote a smart lawyer guy I know from the interwebs - "I don't give a rip what other countries do"  Good point. I was attempting to point out that repeating talking points you heard someone say or you read are not always correct.
