I shot a doe this evening. As she was coming in I noticed a big gash on her back. It was the same doe I lost two weeks ago due to a high shot. I hit her in no man’s land below the spine and I always get sick when I lose a deer so to have the same deer come in today was pretty cool to finish her off. She had a bad gash and I don’t think she would have survived. When I got back to the truck the game warden was waiting on me. He checked my license and after I told him I had just shot a doe, he wanted to ride out with me to see where I’d shot it. After he checked everything out he helped me drag the deer back to my truck and load it. He was extremely nice and professional. He couldn’t have been more that 22-25 years old. He was from Lawrence County I believe. Good guy
