We went riding one hour before dark to learn our way around. Alabama is in bad shape guys. Whatever they are doing up here it is working. Deer standing in yards and walking across the road in front of us. We did see one stud chasing on private land. Not much of a GPS signal around here so we will have to use paper maps and compass to search the forest land. Sure would make it easier if we could us google earth imaging. Going to be rough hunting in these hills from a physical stand point, However I got two very strong fellas hunting with me. We will be putting in the work the next couple of days with a ton of scouting. It’s nice to just ride around and see deer.


Alabama is a deer desert compared to kentucky too. I think it's primarily because gun season is only two weeks instead of what almost 3 months. If everyone hunted with crossbows and bows there'd be a lot more deer I think.


It is easier to fool a man than to convince him he has been fooled.
