Going to perfidy for my daughters tournament down in Gainesville. Anyone have any suggestions on what to throw and any advice? Go!

All the river rats down there turn to tree rats this time of year. I've always heard there's a good shallow mainriver bite around laydowns up river near Ringo Bluff in the fall on spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. Never tried it though.

River probably be high, best to get back in creeks, and fish kinda shallow. Float worm, spinnerbait

Haven't fished it in awhile but I always liked fishing the round hole think it's the second creek upriver from Vienna boat ramp

Well the cold front might of helped us. There was at least 67 boats in tournament and only 2 limits. My daughter fishes in the junior part. Big Fish for tournament was 3.28 lbs. My daughter got Big Fish for juniors at 3.04. That was only fish she caught all day. It was good enough for 3rd place in juniors and big fish. Seniors it took 8 and change to win. I appreciate Bobby Hale and L&L Marine for putting on this trail for the schools and kids. My daughter has a blast fishing against the boys.

Next tournament is at Selma December the 1st. So expect another any advice for Selma on the forums here in the next couple of days. LOL

Thank Jeff, Haylie received another junior pass today with her Chessie. Two more for the Jr. Title. We’ll get it this spring. Might have a good little hunting dog.

Where’d y’all end up fishing?

Might be a shorter answer to tell you where we didn’t fish. LOL. We stayed on the lower end. About 10 we ran up passed Wilkes Creek. Fished several points and creek mouths. Slough with camp houses and bridge. Then back on main river where she caught the 3 lb spot on a worm. Think she finally drug it across its nose to make it bite.

Good deal. Y'all know pups as good as anyone I know. Kaitlynn has started to come alive pitching. She hit 57 the other night and made the varsity team as a 7th grader.

She’s slinging that pill ain’t she!!! Hannah made the middle school team. She needs to grow some. But she’s also cheering and wants to be a flyer. So she wants to stay small she says. LOL
