Tua Problem solved: ![[Linked Image]](http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1316/13769542/24804592/414055279.jpg) I hope that's a real picture because it's hilarious.

Since The Citadel is a shitty team, does that mean Tua sits out? On Monday, Saban was asked if he has considered limiting Tagovailoa’s reps with the injury. “No. No. Why would we do that?” Saban said. “Say this is not an important game or he doesn’t need to play? I mean, I think we need to do a better job of the people playing around him doing what they’re supposed to do so he doesn’t get hit. And he needs to do a better job of stepping up in the pocket and getting rid of the ball, which he had several opportunities to do.

Ive refrained from commenting up until now. Yes the guy came in low. You are seeing it more and more because of all the dumbass targeting calls this year anytime someone even bumps helmets. If you try to hit someone high in the chest and that person drops their head and shoulders down to absorb the hit, you've got a 50/50 chance, especially if the person you hit is a QB or WR, of going to the locker room for the rest of the game and first half of the following game. More DBs are coming in low and staying at or below the waist for that reason. I absolutely love Tua as a QB. I was one of the first ones on here at the beginning of last year that was calling for Saban to take his blinders off and play Tua last season ahead of Jalen. I knew exactly what they had in Tua. At the same time, it was a legal hit under the current rules and that is just football. It is why girls dont play the game. Some on here know that my oldest son is a college QB and yeah, if he is on the field, be it in clean-up/garbage time or whatever, I get pissed and yell and cuss the refs and scream for a flag when someone comes in low, late, helmet to helmet or whatever, but football is a contact sport and the goal is to get the QB on the ground. DBs now days tackle more with their helmets and shoulders than the traditional make contact then shoot your arms and wrap up that most of us were taught. How many times have you seen a DB fly in helmet first and try to just "cut" a RB or TE rather than even attempting to use his arms to wrap him up? Prob 65-75% of the time. Thats exactly what happened with Tua. Tua shifted to the right in the pocket to avoid pressure and was attempting to escape in that direction and the State player adjusted his pursuit angle and launched, which was his only option without overrunning the play. Had he shot his arms and wrapped up, just as he hit Tua, it would have looked like a perfect "low" form tackle and nothing would have been said. He did not hit Tua in the knee, he hit him in the upper thigh/quad area. It did not appear to be intentional attempt to injure Tua. If it was Intentional he would have launched with the intent to hit him just below the knee IMO. This is my honest opinion of what happened as both a Bama fan and the dad of a college QB. To be honest these types of low hits and the helmet to helmet stuff is why I'm actually okay with my son not playing anymore than he has this year. Football is a violent contact sport and injuries occur. There is no rule against what happened Saturday afternoon. Saban is not afraid to speak his mind and will be the first one to call a spade a spade and he didnt even raise an eyebrow about it. Bama needs Tua healthy and I want to see him healthy but my gosh at the whining. IT IS TACKLE FOOTBALL GUYS.

That's the father in me coming out when it is my son getting hit late or cheap shot after the play but I also realize, know, and fully understand that as a QB, getting hit is just part of the game. I still want the flag and the yards if I can get it. When you play QB you're expected to stand in there, make the throws and take the hits. Complaining about a legitimate sack and clean hit on Tua, like several on here are doing, is a whole different matter. The bubble wrap pic is probably what some of you evidently would like or expect to see.
There are several on here that are 100% whining about Tua getting hit and if you dont realize it's happening, then there's nothing else that I can say to convince you otherwise. That WAS NOT a bad hit by the MS State player or a blatant attempt to take out Tua's knee like some on here are ranting about. The point I'm making, that you dont seem to grasp, is that had Tua's knee not already been hurt, and if all of the Bama nation was not already on pins and needles about his health, and if Tua was not soooo freaking good and such an integral part of Bama's dominance, nobody would have said a word about it. It was just another football play. I'm a Bama fan and want to see him never get hit, never have to run, and be able to just stand in the pocket 100% healthy and sling it all over the field every game. Hell, even Saban, when asked bout it, said that "Tua getting hit was on the O-line and they should have done a better job protecting him". If he thought it was a bad hit or a cheap shot, he dang sure would've said something about it like he's done in similar situations in the past.

You don’t sense to grasp that he took aim lowered his head and tried to hit Tua in the knee. Thank god he missed. If Tua was only tougher it wouldn’t be an issue. Its not like he’s out there on a bumb knee trying to compete alongside his teammates.

How many of you guys played football in HS? How many played defense?
I did. I wasn't half worth a crap, but I played hard. I tried to hurt everybody that I tackled as did every other defensive player that I played with or against when I played on offense. We tried to kill the other guy. We didn't play dirty but we'd do our best to hurt people. That's football, or at least that WAS football before the pussification of America.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
