Is the defender supposed to stop and tell the qb to turn so I can hit your good knee? Some on here obviously have never played a snap of football. Just put flags on Tua and say he's off limits altogether.

Bammers are so scared their token QB going down may cost it all. Spoiled babies If Tua goes down for the season it will cost a shot at a NC......thats why play calling early in the game when you have a good defense on its heels is important....also when you are leading by 21, your defense is playing lights out and your O-line is being taken to the wood shed you call a running play to protect your gimpy QB and punt the ball......

Im the other way. I fully believe it was a ILLEGAL HIT. TARGETING. He launched and led with the crown of the helmet ( old school spearing) . Hit was intentional and dirty. Whup the guy in front of you but do it legally. Help him up and whup him again. I hate crappy human beings. Targeting is hitting the head/neck area..... INCORRECT...Targeting is leading with the crown of the helmet to any part of body. Definition of targeting http://www.ncaa.org/themes-topics/targeting

It's a moot point anyway. He never hit the knee with the helmet. He lead with the helmet but his shoulder pad actually hit the knee. And he wasn't defenseless either. He was scrambling. Talking bout looking for a reason. geez.

I'm surprised that 2 years in it appears folks dont know what criteria are utilized for targeting. Now I understand that it seems to be fluid and evolving but it is not just a hit to the neck and shoulders.
