Best answer is either have someone drive in a push them off with a truck. Or wait until they leave naturally. Lee lakosky said he has waited till after mid night before. But other than that, hopefully your exit plan puts you away from the deer and not walking right through the plot, but I usually just get down. Or tie a linb to my rope and make some noise with it.

I heard about that. Wasnt that the night Gary LaVox was there hunting? Or was that the night he came in and old Tiff and her cameraman were...ummm..talking or something. My memory gets bad with my age. By the way..Im certainly not waiting until midnight for a deer. Imagine how that would be to explain to a warden... Up a tree in the dark with a weapon...? Sounds like John Travis or that other guy ( forgot his name..Timber2 maybe?). Isnt that what they got busted for? shooting a buck after dark? warden: WTH you fellers doing up there?? It got dark 3 hours ago Hunter: Waiting for the deer to leave Warden: Hey dumbarse..they feed at night.....get yer arse down here NOW!

I always rip my velcro sleeves real fast or if bowhunting I'll rip my velcro release off fast. It spooks them and they have no idea what it is. Never seem to hurt my sightings when I go back and hunt the same stand. I've always got something velcro just for that issue.
There are two rules for success: 1. Never tell everything you know.

I saw on Live PD the best way to get an animal to run off is to holler "Freeze, Police......"

Hold up a picture of JohnnyLoco That would bogger the place up for the rest of the season. Likely make me scare of the dark also.

I read on here one time that if you’re in a tree, just climb down head first. Deer are supposed to think you’re a squirrel. I haven’t tried it yet. Got me! I laughed pretty hard at that one. Let me know if it works out.

Lee lakosky said he has waited till after mid night before. I just chuckle when I read chit like this from him, Jay Gregory, and the rest of those midwest cowboys with tens of thousands of unmolested acres full of the dumbest whitetails on the damn planet. "I didn't hunt this one particular farm for 3 straight years because the wind was never absolutely perfect." Actually heard Jay Gregory say that once. I bet some local redneck killed a damn stud or 3 on that place every year while goofy arse was off elsewhere. Bill Winke will get on a huge buck out there in Iowa, hunt and see him an hour before dark every single day from the same Redneck blind, and shoot the sumbitch through his backstrap about once a week until he finally gets one in the boiler room.

Spooked is spooked just leave they will come back dont overthink it you might wind up spooking them more with some silly crap instead of just walking off and paying them no attention imo ,,,, theres different kinds of spooked . if they start blowing and wheezing , you done scared them !!!!!!! if they just trot off they just be a little alarmed , big difference . the one thing deer are scared of the most is people , dont look like people when they see you !!
