So far this season according to GameCheck, as of Nov. 17, hunters have reported 8,184 deer: https://game.dcnr.alabama.gov/Report/State/Deer

Seems low to me. I was gonna wait till tomorrow before checking the numbers. They will never get the true number of deer killed. Hell only a small portion of the members here check their kills in so I would think its the same for the whole state.

I was thinking that seems really good for bow season. That's 255 deer per day, during a primarily archery only time frame. Sounds pretty good to me.

And, once again, Jackson County (where the hunting is tougher than anywhere else in the State) is about 3X ahead of everywhere else in the State!! 2Dogs, you haven't found me a good place to lease up there yet??  All those hunters from outside the county Chucky Checkin' .  You prolly wouldn't like it up here, too easy.

How many years of GC data before it is used for management decisions? Soon as they figure out how to inflate the numbers to match the inflated numbers from the elusive survey that was wrong for decades.

How many years of GC data before it is used for management decisions? Can't remember if a specific number ever was given. Would seem that at least four or five might be needed, wouldn't it?
