Does it affect them deers?

When you gotta go, you gotta go.

I can’t think of a single time I didn’t pee at my stand before a hunt. I can sit longer and be a lot more still when I don’t have to go.

I figure my scent would scare them worse than pee.

I don’t think it bothers them one bit. When I gotta go, I go.

I’ve peed out of my stand and have had deer come over and smell it and never spook. But they don’t like to be spit on.

I think it makes a difference if you hunt rhe same stand multiple days in a row and continually let er rip. By the end of the second day the base of my tree smells like the urinals at Harry’s bar

To a degree piss is piss, and there just isn’t much difference between one piss and another outside of volume. I had occasion last season, while bow hunting, to find myself in dire straits about 30 feet up. It was sudden and there was no way I could climb all the way down without wetting my pants. It was also about 40 minutes to last light. So I took a chance and just went from the tree. Put it all in more or less the same spot. There was a decent breeze blowing away from the field I was on into the woods with a steep embankment just past me. About 20 minutes later a young 4 point snuck in right between me and the embankment and when he got just downwind of my pee he stopped cold then walked right up to it and sniffed, maybe even licked it off a branch. Then casually strolled on. Shortly a much larger buck came right down the same path. As I got ready to fire as he was going to clear the branches under me he got to the same spot downwind of my pee. He bolted without a second’s hesitation
Older bucks are much more wary and skittish around unfamiliar smells in their territory. I’ll often pee, going into a stand, in areas that are frequented by deer but difficult to hunt in hopes of driving them around to where I am hunting. I don’t know if it has worked but I gotta go somewhere and it sounds good in my head.

Pee all the time from the tree and never had an issue.

Anybody remember the TK and Mike video when they pissed on a corn pile from the tree to defunk the myth? I pee when needed.

I usually just pee at the truck behind the gate and then I'm good for longer than I'd sit in the stand. Unless I had been drinking sweet tea before hand.

Next question is when is the best time to hang a used tampon.
