I repeat Apostles Creed each Sunday at our Methodist Church. It is part of my core belief but it is a Episcopal, Lutheran, Methodist thing. Trump may not have known the words??? I’ve been in Church when the entire congregation starts singing a song or quoting something and it seems like I’m the only person who doesn’t know every word. Socially embarrassing. What do you do? Bow your head respectfully or sort of mouth the words and pretend? Tough spot to be in, especially with the whole world watching. My guess is Trump is not Methodist and didn’t know the words to the Creed. DeColores

It's just more Trump hating and I am about sick of it. If Obama would have started speaking in tongues and jumping pews, they would be dogging Trump out about not doing it too. Trump is not my kind of people. He is an obnoxious, New York/New Jersey Yankee with a huge ego but the more the press dogs him out the better I like him. At least you know where you stand with Trump, if he thinks it, he says it.

Been going to Baptist church all my life, never heard of Apostles Creed. Thought yall were talking about a video game. Trump had probably never heard of it either.

I went to a friends catholic funeral a couple of months back. I had no idea what was going on. So I am now a POS for not knowing all of the ins and outs?

Same for me but after looking it up and reading it, I see no problem with it that would keep me from reading it. I imagine he just didn't have a copy or was deep in thought on his next move to MAGA and not paying attention.

I believe catholic in the early times (1st and 2nd centuries) simply referred to the Christian Church, as there hadn't yet been denominations formed yet. Catholic means universal, so its just referring to the all encompassing church.

I wonder who had the authority 200 years after the church was established to change its name? I’ve never read where God gave that authority. My bible says they first called Christians at Pentecost and God added them to the body.

I saw the Left wing main stream media making a big deal out of it. Anything anti trump.

The guy cant do anything right in the medias eyes and they look for something everyday to make a big deal out.

It doesnt bother me in the least that he didnt say it.

I was raised Methodist and Baptized in the Methodist Church. I’ve said it all my life but have visited other churches like Baptist and didn’t know why they didn’t say it. So instead of thinking that the Baptist and other religions that don’t say it are wrong I researched it from all viewpoints. Amazing what you can find out when you don’t let your ignorance and narrow mindedness get in the way.

It really didn't bother me that President Trump didn't say it but it did bug the heck out of me that Hillary and Obama both were saying it as much as they have demoralized Christian's throughout their political careers.

Raised Baptist and still attend a Baptist church weekly, and I've never heard of it until now.

Probably just a subtle difference in denominations. Doubtful that some denominations know The Doxology, but all Baptists (and some others, I'm sure) know it by heart.

I thought Apostles Creed was Rocky's friend who was beaten up and killed by, Ivan Drago?

Apostle Creed would actually be a pretty cool name.

Seems like I may have heard of it but had no clue what it was. It is not all inclusive of what the apostles believed or taught and therefore, incomplete. It is certainly something generated by man. Just reading it, you would think the Father was the only one involved in the creation, but the creation was accomplished through Jesus. Jesus created all things.

Also, Jesus did not descend into hell but into hades, there is a difference. Hades is the all receiving realm of the dead and divided between paradise (where Jesus went) and torment (where the rich man went). I know the Irish guy version didn’t mention this.

My creed is the Bible.

Would you rather him say it and not mean it? He's not religious, just like about 100 million Americans.

Not to be cute, but seeing the subject title, I assumed this was about the new Rocky spin-off movie. wink smile Creed was a decent flick.
