Guys (& Gals),

I'm putting up for sale, out of my lever gun collection, a Marlin 336 chambered in .35 Remington. This gun is a 1977 production model and it is a Pre-Cross bolt safety gun, meaning that it DOES NOT have a cross bolt safety. Many Marlin collectors want these rifles without the cross bolt safety.

This rifle is a JM stamped Marlin with the gold trigger. This gun is in almost mint condition. It has one slight ding or dent in the furniture that really doesn't take anything away from it at all. I would rate the wood at 98% and the bluing is flawless, which I would rate at 100%. This gun has the sight hood and the Marlin bulls-eye in the stock. Many of these older guns have these missing. The white butt stock spacer is not even discolored on this rifle. The rifle also has sling swivel studs. I am leaving the scope base on the rifle so all you need is a set of rings to mount up your favorite scope.

I am not going to say it is an unfired gun because I don't know that it is. I will tell you that I have never fired it and if it has been fired it has been very little. It is a well taken care of rifle. This gun is a collector quality rifle. It is not junk. It is in excellent condition.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this gun. I am putting it up for sale simply because I have replaced it in my collection with one that has a slightly fancier piece of furniture.

I'm pricing this rifle at $550.00 OBO. Not interested in trading, need to sell outright. If you are interested, contact me and we'll talk.

If this rifle sells here 3% will go to Aldeer. I'd like to do a FTF sale rather than ship it. I'm in the Tuscaloosa, Fayette, and Pickens County area. I can be reached here by replying to this ad, a PM or by email at brp82rwp@aol.com.

Thank you for looking at this nice rifle. thumbup

I’ve got that gun’s older brother. Mine was built in ‘76.

Just to clarify some questions I have gotten in PM's...

This gun is an all original gun.

It has NOT been re-blued or the wood refinished. It is not a refurbished gun.

I had just coated the wood with a good coat of orange oil right before I took the PICS so that is why the furniture looks glossy.

This rifle is nearly new. That is why I bought it to start with. Because of it's pristine condition.

I WILL NOT purchase or own a refinished Marlin.

All of my Marlin lever guns are just as they came from the factory. thumbup

I have also been asked about shipping this rifle. I stated in original post that I'd rather do a FTF sale simply because I didn't want the hassle of packaging and shipping to an FFL. I WILL ship the rifle to your FFL only if the buyer will pay the shipping.

So, those who have asked...

...make an offer. wink

Dropping price down to $475.00.

Cannot believe this gun hasn’t sold. I’d be all over it if I didn’t have a 1963 336. And you won’t find a better guy to deal with.

Cuz, if you have or decide to sell a nice 3030 JM stamped let me know. That .35 is sweet.
