Good scopes but not alpha quality glass as others have said above. If you like a #4 reticle, meopta has one of the best I've seen. I've used the older Zeiss conquest scopes which were essentially a meopta. Once took two guns to a field, one with a 4.5x14x44 conquest the other with a German made Zeiss diavari C 3x9x36. With both scopes set at 9X, I had about 5 more minutes of shooting light with the diavari C. I would only buy if you could get for a sale price, but at full price there are better options, for low light performance. It doesn't matter what power your 14X scope was set on,there are still more lenses for the light to pass through on the higher magnification scope,so not really comparing apples to apples.
