I use an old school double-edge safety razor. You can buy a good handle (razor) for about 20-25 bucks then $10 worth of blades will last for months. I get a closer shave and less razor burn and cuts with low-tech single blade. I do the same. Been using one for about 5 years now. I have tried a lot of different blades but still prefer the feather blades Feather, Personna Red, or Astra Yep and that’s the order I prefer them in. To me the astra is way behind the other 2. However I have a very thick coarse beard. I had tried all types of razors from the super duper 5 blades to the cheap ones and all of them sucked and pulled my beard. I can go a week without shaving with the DE with no problems. I have less nicks with the DE Feather blades than regular razors as long as I change blades every other shave. 3 things are to shave after getting a shower and to run hot water over your razor, also use a good shaving cream. These all help a lot. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004...p;keywords=murker+saftey+razor&psc=1https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00F...Pl=1&dpID=413Wh891Y9L&ref=plSrchThis cream will last me about 8 to 10 months. But you will need a brush. You can get some pretty cheap onea

I use the Schick 3 blade disposable you get at Sam’s. I think you get thirty razors for $24.00 or so. I tried Harry’s and just about every razor there is and this is what works for me.

I wear a goatee and use a beard trimmer to keep the sides at stubble length for the most part and only use a razor on my neck. I hate shaving.
