I haven't seen a thing this morning! Anyone else seeing any? I can't bealive the change in the weather from last year and the year before to this year! I have never seen rut activity so slow and deer movement so slow in awhile. Was very foggy this morning, and I'm thinking they would be moving good since this big storm is rolling in later on tonight.

I agree. The weather has not cooperated at all this year! They have so much food in the woods (greenbriar, honeysuckle, etc...) to eat, when they do move, its not far! I'm hunting an old rd bed this morning with pines on both sides, 6-7 yrs in age, hoping to intercept one traveling from one thicket to the other. So far nothing has crossed. I did see 2 small bucks right at dark yesterday bumping head gear.

I haven't had any movement all morning....maybe they will move this afternoon if te rain will hold out....good luck to u all

I just had one lone doe come by. Other than that nothing but turkeys.

I just came out for bathroom and snack break headin back in at 10-30 to sit until 2 debating between going to a cutover or some hardwoods.
Gonna try a food plot this evening.

Had a nice 7 point come by pushing a doe this morning by me at 15 yards and let him walk.rain or shine,ill be in the woods. Can't kill em sitting in camp

They moved for us this morning. Unfortunately I killed the limb and not the deer. Also had a nice 8 on camera atwith 830 in another spot.

Missed the biggest deer I have ever set my eyes on on hoof at 12-35 today. I haven't missed one in years and forgot the feeling, it sucks. This guy was very large, very wide, it all happened to fast and I just plain missed.

Atleast mine was just a doe. I would be sick if it was a big one.

I was fortunate to harvest a buck this morning and yesterday morning as well. They arent moving too good but at least we are seeing a few.

Movement has been super slow for me lately. Had a decent day yesterday. I'm tired of 60 degree south wind days in January! Where do you hunt around the shoals north Bama?

North Bama,I also missed a good buck this morning,I was coming out about 9 this morning and got to where an SMZ comes out of some planted pines to the creek and he jumped up about 30 yards from me and I just took a pop shot at him before he got in the thick stuff,saw him for about 5 seconds,it does suck but it wont be the first time I missed and aint gonna be the last,anyway, I've seen 9 bucks the last 5 times I've hunted and killed a 9 point,4 of them were running does.

Elmore County: I have never seen such an intense rut in my 35 years of hunting. I'm seeing bucks every time I go in the woods. Have let the big one get away twice now, but seeing nice 8 points chasing and just moving around. Even in the hot and rainy weather they are still moving.

Watched 3 bucks chase does all afternoon, a heck of a 2.5 8 point that almost got smoked until a doe brought him in for a better look.

Saaaaaloooowwwwwww! Dallas Co this past weekend for me was slow.

norton z7 i am originally from hamilton and we have a good bit of private land in Detroit we (try to manage) and hunt. And then joined to a hunting club called sipsey creek in lamar county also.

this weekend is looking promising.
